2019 Houston Quilt Show - Sapphire Quilt Display
Sapphire is the gem for a 45th year celebration. Blue and white was required for this quilt collection show at Houston's 45th annual show.
Joan says - "My quilt is the second one above my head. On the day the picture was taken, my daughter surprised me and got to see the quilt in Houston. I attended the show's preview night and attended the full three days."
Title - A-Maze-ing Journey to remission
Design - a set of half square triangle blocks morphed into a large circuitous route on the design wall. this inspiration seemed naturally fitting since I began the quilt when my daughter was diagnosed with cancer. The quilt was finished as she was declared in remission and prepared to return to work a triumph through a maze.
