Workshop description - The freehand cut curves make the quilt look very improvisational. You will practice several techniques for creating unique improvisational blocks. First I will demonstrate how to cut and sew freehand curve blocks and then fracture them to create a block with both straight and curved lines. Next, we will make improvisationally pieced fabric from the 'leftovers' to make more curved blocks.

Participants will develop confidence freehand cutting and piecing gentle curves, combining prints and solid fabrics, alternate grid layouts and incorporating negative space.

Registration is now open for another MidCentury Modern Curves Class.

This workshop will be held at the Gulfgate Library -NOT at Fruitville.
